Individual treatments plans are all different and based on evidence-based research.

At the Fertility and Research Centre, we take the least invasive approach possible to creating your treatment plan. Because if natural conception is a possibility for you, we’ll always start there.

Cycle Tracking & Ovulation Induction

Cycle tracking and ovulation induction are the least invasive fertility treatments.

Cycle tracking can help you better understand your menstrual cycle and which days you are most fertile. We do this by tracking your hormone cycle to predict when ovulation is going to take place. Ovulation is triggered by a surge of hormones from the pituitary gland (Luteinising Hormone). This usually takes place 24 hours before ovulation. By carrying out simple blood and ultrasound tests to detect this hormone surge, we can advise you of the ideal time to have sex to give you the best chance of conception.

Ovulation Induction involves taking medication to induce ovulation by encouraging eggs to develop in the ovaries and be released, increasing the chance of conception through timed intercourse or through intrauterine insemination. Patients take medication or hormones at the beginning of your menstrual cycle, such as Letrozole, Clomiphene or low-dose follicle stimulating hormone injections. During that time you will be monitored with blood tests and ultrasounds. Your fertility specialist will establish when your ovulation is due and they will recommend a specific timeframe to have intercourse with your partner or for IUI.

Testing required

Setting the foundations for your first consultation.

Before your personalised fertility plan can be developed by our specialist team, an investigation of both partners' health is needed. You will need to undertake a series of tests prior to attending the clinic, so your fertility specialist can discuss a customised treatment plan for you.
